Seamlessly switch between Preppy and Douchey versions of Freezepop’s track “Doppelganger” from their EP of the same name featuring remixes and new versions of tracks.
Listening to “Neukoln” by Bowie and Eno from “Heroes”. Second listen through of “Heroes” today after doing Diamond Dogs and Outside. “Heroes” is a very well-known album, but even though I’ve listened to it a fair share over the years, and love the title track, I don’t feel like I’ve ever really gotten into it. Since it’s so well known, I wonder how many people actually are deeply into it. It’s not often that the majority of a Bowie album doesn’t blow me away. I think it might be that the tracks on this one are more dominated by more subtitles than most. “Neukoln” and the and the other instrumentals on this are wonderful. Very engaging, impressive sonic landscapes, a passive listen won’t do them justice. “Secret Life of Arabia” is a bit light on lyrical content, but it’s a welcome funky journey. I think I’m starting to get into the experience on the whole. I’m just surprised how many of his lesser-mentioned works like Lodger and Tonight are easier to get into than this one, hence multiple listens today.
