If you had to live in any universe from any movie...
That’s a toughie because most of the movie worlds that fascinate me the most are places I wouldn’t want to actually exist in. Visit maybe, but being born there and living life there seems less desirable. Examples: Brazil, Blade Runner, Fifth Element (though Fifth Element’s strange future seems much more do-able than the first two). The things I’m most interested to...

Describe your most memorable sexual encounter.
Aw dang - not in the form of a question! Bummer, dude. You should proably ask your mom about it though. I’m sure she’d tell it better than I would. Remember to phrase it as a question, though! Ask me anything

Do you have any reservations about the Tron...
None whatsoever. While I aknowldge that Legacy was far from a perfect film, I really enjoyed it and the prequel comic, Tron: Betrayal (which is a must-read for any Tron fan). The third film was really well seeded with Cillian Murphy as Dillinger’s son in Legacy and then two bits of post-film released with the DVD, the day after sequence revealing the man behind the Flynn Lives campaign, as...

Have you ever tried to learn how to actually use...
I haven’t. I’ve mucked around with a nunchaku before, and I can do some stuff with a staff, but haven’t been formally trained. Brandon and I trained Kung-Fu together. I stopped after a while and Brandon kept going. He’s amazing. Brandon has trained in a staff form for that Donatello mystique, as well as Chinese Broadsword (not a Turtle weapon, but still super-cool). ...

Ask me Anything on Formspring →
I was going through Mike’s Formspring tonight.  It was pretty hard.  So many of his replies are either hilarious or genius, often both, and I hadn’t read many of them.  It made me miss him and feel his loss harder than I have in a while.  (Time has been displaced exponentially, it doesn’t feel like we lost him just over a week ago.  It feels like it’s been… longer.) I...

Triforce MikeTribute Episode →
nerdyshow: Here it is, the official Triforce Mike Tribute episode. We had Flame On, Marc with a C, Ruel from Dungeons & Doritos, Nerdy Show, and even old friends of Mike’s who flew in from England all to tell stories about Triforce Mike. There were so many emotional responses that came out during this episode. This is NOT an episode to listen to lightly. You’ve been warned.

WatchWatch
iwenttofilmschooldamnit: It was the Protomen Act 2 release party. It had just wrapped up and there was a sort of dance party going on. I saw a few people dancing up a storm, specifically three dudes all dancing together. I couldn’t recall ever having seen them before in my life but I thought it was HILARIOUS. They left an impression. I know the video is dark and fuzzy, honestly thats how it...

We love you long time! PS - It’s a long list, you might want to ctrl+F to find...

My Top 20 Albums of 2011
Consequence of Sound’s top albums of 2011 list came out today!  Always intense, always exhausting, always a labor of love. To make the list, each CoSer creates his or her own top list and that is integrated into the whole.  My list is missing some key players due to me simply not having had the chance to explore them.  Case in point: I haven’t listened to the new Bon Iver or St. Vincent...

My Top Songs of 2011
Consequence of Sound’s songs list came out yesterday.  Always intense, always exhausting, always a labor of love. To make the list, each CoSer creates his or her own top list and that is integrated into the whole.  This isn’t a full top 20 list and I’ve certainly missed some.  Case in point: I haven’t listened to the new Bon Iver and I know I know… I really ...

We interviewed STEVE BARRON! (TMNT) →
Something to check off my life goal to do list…  The original 1990 Ninja Turtles film is one of my all time favorite films.  Not only is it one of the best comic adaptations ever, its simply the most accomplished and human creature films of all time.  Barron didn’t just direct but was a huge creative force behind every aspect of this film.  Nick Jade and I have spent many a night...
